DIY Pom Pom Napkin Ring

This DIY is great for parties! If you are looking to add a little extra fun and color onto the table then this is a perfect DIY for you. I know a lot of people do not use napkin rings but for parties it adds so much to have them included. You can create these pom pom napkin rings in any color and there are many different variations you can create.

Supplies:

yarn pom-poms (learn to make your own from my previous post here)
Scissors
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Napkins

How To:

The first thing you will want to do is take your ribbon and cut it into about 4 inch strips and hot glue the ends together to create a circle. (pictured below next to ribbon pile) If you do not have ribbon you can braid some yarn together to make the circle piece instead. You can also use cardboard with yarn wrapped around it by hot gluing the ends together to create the ring.

If you only want to make a couple you can use a fork or even just your hand. By wrapping the yarn around three fingers or a fork about 65 times. After that you just need to take a 6 inch long piece of yarn and tie a knot in the center. You get whats pictured above and then you snip the edges to start shaping your pom pom. After all of the edge loops are cut you can cut down your pom pom until its full and even. Make sure not to cut the extra length off of the yarn that you tied onto the middle this will be used to secure it onto the ribbon ring.

Once you are done shaping your pom pom you can tie it onto your ribbon and hot glue in place. This DIY is all set to go onto your napkins now, you don’t have to use fabric napkins either it looks good with paper as well as fabric.

You can make so many variations of this by using cardboard and directly gluing the pom poms you can buy at the store ( the pink version below is cardboard and a bag of pom pom from the dollar store) I also created some with more than one pom pom with braided yarn as the ring.
