On assignment in Costa Rica

Costa Rica MarketGuest Photo Post from Sherry Rought: San Jose, Costa Rica

After being caged up in a compound in an inner city of Costa Rica  for weeks, I ventured out. Out of the razor wired, smothered area that I call home. To be set free by my own doing, was a reward in itself. I was on a quest, camera in hand.

A dangerous but worthy adventure.

I was searching for answers. Answers of questions of culture and art, that are hard for an American to distinguish here. What I found surprised me. Within the concrete city I found what I was looking for. Art had oozed out of the confines of people’s lives and I began to see a culture very different from my home town North America. Here is a sampling of what I found.
