Basket Embelishment DIY

If you’ve spent any time in our DIY page you know we love the dollar store. Finding colorful plastic baskets for a buck is hard to turn down.

While this basket is cute enough on its own, I couldn’t resist adding my own twist to them with some spare ribbon I had stashed away.

Using the basket itself as a grid weave the ribbon back and forth just like a embroidery. I did a simple striped pattern but you could do the whole thing. I used 3 yards pretty quickly so if you want to do the whole basket be sure you have enough ribbon to go around.

Im using this as my newborns laundry basket for all the small outfits. But baskets have endless organization options so use yours where you need it.
