Wood Slice Lettering Project

I was walking through target and a piece of art they were selling caught my attention. And I couldn’t help but be really interested in the message it was sharing. I want to know more about the reason behind it, was it for maybe a wedding gift? a baby shower to hang up in the nursery?

Now I am sure its a popular item and they sell a lot of them, but I wonder how many people sat and thought about what its saying. It’s a good thing to think about, do you think it doesn’t get better than this?

In return from seeing this I decided to create my own piece with lettering on a wood slice( that was purchased at target). I decided on a C.S. Lewis quote because this is true for me as a Christian. My Great Grandma used to make these small wood slice paintings and I left one in the picture, she was part of my inspiration for this post.
