Q-Kids: Plantable Seed Art

We decided to save seeds this year. You can read more about that here or how to here. But we had a little mishap in the process. Our seeds got mixed up. With kids this is bound to happen at times. So we did some sorting and came up with this fun project in the process: plantable seed art!

You will need the following for this project:

  • Tall or jumbo sunflowers
  • Climbing pole beans
  • Lettuce, any kind
  • Alyssumn flowers, any color
  • Plain piece of paper ( or print my version below)
  • Stick glue

In the yellow hearts glue down your sunflower seeds in each corner. Next glue your climbing beans into the green hexagons (they will grow up your sunflower plant). In the center blue circle glue your lettuce seeds. Along the pink lines glue your alyssumn flower seeds. In the spring plant your paper with a quarter inch of soil over the top of it and water daily.

Happy Questing!
