Bravery is Not a Feeling

Bravery is an action. You heard me. It’s what you do that gets you labeled brave. Your feelings are secret and no one knows you are quaking inside. To the world, you are doing something incredible.

Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.      -Paulo Coelho

Every time you write your story, your feelings, your heart onto a page you are taking action and it is brave. No one can tell your story like you can.

Be brave enough to live life creatively. The creative place where no one else has ever been.    -Alan Alda

Taking those words and editing them is braver still. It is brave to strive to be better. It takes nothing to stay stagnant. But you are moving forward through editing your unique story.

Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.    -Mary Tyler Moore

Sending a query, your inner thoughts, out to the world, publisher, or agent is even braver. Few have reached this level and kept going. But you will because you’ve proven you’re brave. Even if those queries come back a no it can’t erase that you’ve written, you’ve edited, and you’ve submitted. You are brave. You are inspiring.

Never give up being brave.

Happy Questing
