Christmas is coming and its time to start wrapping presents and getting ready for the Holidays!  My DIY this week is an awesome craft because it can be used for so many different things. See below for my How to.

Supplies:

  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paper
  • Straw
  • Water
  • Dish Soap
  • Plastic cups or bowls to hold the paint

Step 1:

Mix 2 tbs of water with 2 tsp of dish soap, and add acrylic paint, you can add however much paint you want depending on how light you want it to be.   Feel free to stir it with the straw so you do not have to dirty any dishes.   Mix up as many colors as you want.  I would also lay down newspaper or do this craft outdoors, paint will be splattered.

Step 2:

Now that your paint is already all you have to do is to take your straw and blow into the paint lightly and it will create bubbles. Once you get the right amount of bubbles take your paper and lay it on top of the bubbles and then set the paper aside to dry.  You can add as much paint to your paper as you want.

Step 3:

Once your paper is dry you can make so many different things with it.  Origami, gift wrap, bows, and gift tags are a few that we created with ours. This is a fun craft to do with kids, it can be a little messy but its still a fun idea if you make sure to lay down newspaper or a disposable table cloth.  Happy Crafting!
