Cold weather is approaching and with that comes dry skin. Sugar scrubs are amazing for hydrating your hands during the winter months come along with me today to learn how to make your own!
Supplies:
- 3/4 cup Coconut Oil
- 1 cup Sugar
- Mixer
Optional:
- Coloring (beet powder etc)
- Grapefruit zest
- Essential Oils
- Jojoba oil or your favorite oil to use
How to:
First put all of your oils in a mixing bowl. Mix on high for two minutes. This is going to whip the oil until it forms peaks.
Now you can add any extras like essential oils, coloring, grapefruit zest and so on. I made mine with beet root powder to make it pink and then added grapefruit zest and orange oil and a little bit of mint and lemon. Use anything that you like, if you love lavender use lavender its totally up to you.
After mixing all of your extras together well you can add your sugar. You can use any type of granulated sugar the idea is to have something in there that will exfoliate your skin. You can buy sugar that has bigger granules or you can just use regular granulated sugar do not use powdered sugar because it is too fine to exfoliate.
Mix sugar until well combined. Store in an air tight container.
Happy Crafting!!!
