DIY Galaxy Shoes

Galaxies are such a fun way to decorate things.  Today’s DIY is a creative way to decorate white canvas shoes!

Supplies:

• Rubbing Alcohol
• White Acrylic Paint
• Sharpies
• Eye Dropper
• Mod Podge or some type of fixative
• White Canvas Shoes
• Paint Brush

Step 1: First you need to take out shoe laces. You do not need to tape the rubber sides because you can take rubbing alcohol and wash the rubber to clean off the Sharpie.

Tip: It’s a good idea to do this craft outside or in a well ventilated area. 

Step 2: Take your permanent marker and start adding colors to your shoes, you want to cover all of the canvas on the shoe with Sharpies.  

Step 3: Now you can take the rubbing alcohol and an eyedropper and soak the canvas in the rubbing alcohol until its all covered.  The rubbing alcohol will make the colors bleed together and perfect the galaxy look you are going for. 

Step 3: Let dry outside.  Take your acrylic white paint and your brush and add stars on to the canvas. 

Step 4: Take a paper towel and add rubbing alcohol and wipe down the rubber to get all of the sharpie off. Take a spray fixative or Mod Podge and put a clear coat over your galaxy to protect it.

Step 5:Let Dry and string your laces back in and your shoes are all set.
