Q-Kids: Mermaid Money DIY

My girls are obsessed with mermaids. And unicorns. And glitter… you get the drift.

So after a fun fourth of July we had a bagful of snail shells fished from the lake. I had the girls clean the shells (nothing like smelly shellfish to find later, uck!). I grabbed our stash of nail-polish and some extra sequence and let the fun begin.

We did layers of polish in several shades. We added sequence to match. We had a ball. At the end we dubbed it all mermaid money and the fun will continue for days. What fun things have you made with shells found in nature? Let us know and we may try it here on the blog too.

Happy Questing!
